Another paksiw recipe but this one it uses pork hock or pata.
Paksiw na Pata
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Pork hock
- 1 twp garlic minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 cups water
- 3 tbsp vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup banana blossoms
- 3-5 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp pepper corn
- salt/pepper
Instructions
- In a pot, boil pork hock. Boil for 20 minutes. Remove from heat, rinse hock under running water.
- In a clean pot, boil water. Add pepper corn and bay leaves.
- Add soy sauce and garlic.
- Put in pork hock and simmer for 1.5hrs.
- Add vinegar, do not mix/stir. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Add banana blossoms. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add brown sugar and salt/pepper. Stir. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve.
