Filipino Pork BBQ

Pork barbecue in bamboo skewer grilled over charcoal. Perfect for any occasions.

  • 4 lbs pork shoulder sliced into bite-sized


  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup calamansi or lemon
  • 3/4 cup ketchup banana ketchup
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cups lemon lime soda 7up or sprite
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • salt/pepper


  • In a bowl, add the bite-sized pork.
  • Add all the marinade ingredients. Mix well. Marinate for at least 1 hr.
    I suggest to marinate overnight.
  • Soak bamboo skewer in water overnight.
  • Skew pork together with bamboo skewer.
  • Start up grill.
  • Grill bbq. Cook for 3-5 minutes. Always baste bbq when flipping.
  • Serve.


Before adding the marinade in the bowl, pour 1 cup of marinade in a separate bowl to be used as basting sauce.
